The theme of the third Asia in Finland Festival in Helsinki is Indian dance and theatre. The festival will be acting host to groups of artists from the easternmost corner of India, Manipur, and from the state of Kerala in the south. Both regions have preserved their unique ancient theatre and dance traditions.
The festival will be accompanied by a series of lectures on the arts in India by composer Eero Hämeenniemi, director Maya Tångberg-Grisch, Artisic Director Jukka o. Miettinen and others.
